Heavy Lord - _Balls to All_
(Solitude Productions, 2011)
by: Chaim Drishner (5.5 out of 10)
The third full-length album by Heavy Lord is probably the most sludge-oriented of them all; the band has shed almost all the thrash metal elements it had bestowed upon us with the debut _From Cosmos to Chaos_, where the fine balance between sludge, stoner and thrash was the thing that actually made it work.

Via _Balls to All_, the band is delivering its most laid back, sludgy, stoner-drenched musical product to date. However, with the band's quasi-new stylistic approach there is no novelty in terms of musical aesthetics, sound, songwriting capabilities or singularity, on any level.

As professional sounding as it may be, _Balls to All_ has nothing new to offer to its fans in particular, or to consumers of both sludge and stoner metal in general; it is more of the same, the same being any stoner-metal band you want to mention. Proceed with caution.
