Clawfinger - _Life Will Kill You_
(Nuclear Blast, 2007)
by: Jackie Smit (2.5 out of 10)
It's amazing how in this day and age, a band like Clawfinger can continue to exist on a big label like Nuclear Blast. Nevermind the legion of infinitely more talented acts fighting for scraps from The Man's table, Clawfinger were never ever any good, even when their style was the trend of the day. Their seventh full-length finds them sticking studiously to their original modus operandi -- hip-hop set to the dull thud of third-rate proto-industrial riffing -- and as was the case on 2005's _Hate Yourself With Style_, the results reek of six month old crayfish. There's no end to their moral grandstanding, either: "Final Stand", "Little Baby" and "Carnivore" are delivered replete with enough groan-inducing puns to make Dave Mustaine choke on his Cheerios. Truthfully, you'll get more out of listening to Korn's unplugged disaster than you would spending ten minutes with this half-baked turd.
