Dismember are back for the attack and it is about fucking time! The band's latest LP _Hate Campaign_ (the follow-up to the monstrous 1997 outing _Death Metal_ [CoC #24]) is a superbly tight, yet simplistic take on death metal music. More melodic (yes, melody!) and a lot more bare-knuckle barrage of screaming vocals and rip-roarin' guitar riffs. In other words, a perfect harsh welcome into metal's new millennium. The most important element of the new disc is its speed. Crushing down upon you like Thor's mighty hammer, the quintet's sonic assault rarely gives up. While only 33+ minutes long, the length of the disc is perfect and _Hate Campaign_ does the job right. Nothing more to say than get this disc and hold onto something. It is going to be one fucking bumpy ride, motherfuckers!
