Lecherous Nocturne - _Adoration of the Blade_
(Deep Send Records, 2006)
by: T. DePalma (6 out of 10)
Free time for members of Monstrosity and Nile leads to this turbulent debut, a death metal exhibition clocking in at a mere 28 minutes for eight tracks. Like many releases in this vein, there is probably enough material here for two full-lengths, reduced to a bevy of tracks that feel completely unsatisfying -- incomplete with a bare emphasis on time changes and brutality. All of this amounting to so much technical slush. It seems somewhere they got the idea that we didn't realize just how fast they could play, which is alright for a group of kids, not for veteran such as these. The results are inconsistent and quickly forgotten.
