CoC : Taid - III : Review

Taid return with their third demo, brilliantly entitled _III_. As with their previous demo, _Candymountain Candycane_, they perform melodic gothic metal with industrial metal style vocals, akin to The Kovenant and other fashion disasters. Sometimes, the riffs have a staccato industrial metal, while others are more traditional heavy metal riffs, but the overall feel is of melodic and danceable goth metal. Keyboards are occasionally used, but not often and in a metal, rather EBM sense. The major problem is that Taid are still playing it too safe, and do not deviate from the most linear of song structures. The result is pleasant enough melodies within predictable arrangements. If Taid are ever to be a force to be reckoned, something a more unorthodox or unexpected will need to be incorporated into their work.
