Nefastus present little that has not been done innumerable times, nor do they perform a particularly entertaining rendition, plodding through three tracks of raw as fuck black metal recorded at an excessively high volume. This is particularly true of the vocals, which are too high in the mix. They are at their best when performing brooding mid-tempo passages, but this is not cultivated and they fade away without leaving an impact. The entire demo has a strong inchoate feel, as if it were rushed just to get something out.

It's too early in their career to project their future trajectory, but they will need to cultivate their own unique sound if they are to make an impact on a vastly overcrowded market.
