Glaukom Synod - _Uczulony_
by: Quentin Kalis (2.5 out of 5)
This is already Glaukom Synod's third demo, and they serve up an extensive (eighteen tracks!) of post-industrial cacophony, but rarely veering from the abrasive and the overdriven. There is a lot happening in his songs, which run the gamut of extreme electronica, from industrial pounding through to unmitigated noise, even including a few samples of death metallers Sadistik Exekution, Abyssal Suffering and Ravencult. Literally everything is tossed in there except for the proverbial kitchen sink. (Although I wouldn't be surprised to discover it was the source for one of his percussive poundings.) But these varied facets all feel somewhat random; there is no sense of connectedness between these incongruous sound effects, and it all seems more like a collage of harsh industrial effects than thought out compositions. A pity, as some of the rhythmic sections sound as if they could have been developed into a death industrial project.
