_Ravenous Plague_ is the sixth album by this quartet hailing from Geldrop, and it really isn't that noticeably different from any of its kin. The thrashing is swift and aggressive. The guitars are loud and trebly, and the drums churn on and on while the vocals rasp away, all happening at the genre-mandated speed limits and all done in forty five minutes. It's a typical formula that's been stretched too thin, and it does not help _Ravenous Plague_ one bit. Of course there are tracks that relatively stand out from the rest of the album, like the dark "Doom Priest" or the menacing "Bury Me in a Nameless Grave", but by and large, the rest make for an average album at best.

The brooding introductory track "The Apocalyptic Surge" will definitely be the starting piece as Legion of the Damned takes to the stage, and when they follow it up with the aggression of "Howling for Armageddon", crowds will be excited. But I guess this is the scope for such albums in this day and age; a primer for a large festival crowd. _Ravenous Plague_ is in no way intriguing, thought-provoking or forward-thinking. It is however a decent, energetic album that is best enjoyed with a couple of cold beers in the sun as a warm up in a big festival line-up. For those looking for more albums for their long, introspective, winter listening sessions, don't expect to run _Ravenous Plague_ twice. As for the faithful moshers who eternally roam the pits looking for more thrash to devour, this one should hit the spot.
