Having said that, it is also worthy of mentioning that the lead guitar line in the beginning of the calm section of "Whoremonger" fits perfectly with the aural foundation created here. A couple of minutes later, the drumming reached its pinnacle while pushing the song towards its heavier section, then it returns to the first riff and brings the first third of this effort to an end. "Apocatastasis" is the remaining two thirds, and it does overstay its welcome at some points. The drumming is also impressive, but it's the weakness of its mold that makes it sound a little underwhelming for a twenty one minute piece. There is some potential here which probably needs a full-length album to be properly made use of, because this effort could take them either way.
