Neverdie - _Phase 2: Revolution_
(Independent, 2009)
by: Quentin Kalis (5.5 out of 10)
Despite a stated intention to spread "positivity", Neverdie are not glassy-eyed evangelists, just ordinary dudes-next-door who do not see the need to add to Earth's gigantic negativity surplus. A veritable cornucopia of influences from across the spectrum of contemporary metal is brought in, but whatever potential this album may have had is negated by a woefully dismal production and unnecessarily loose performance, resulting in an amateurish sounding album that I do not believe reflects their actual potential. Give these boys some decent resources, an experienced man on production duties, tighten up the performance, and they may surprise us yet.
