One can only assume that Horricane's experience with their former label informed their decision to opt for the independent route. And I do mean a real informed "choice", not some horribly constrained or artificial sense; here is nothing to suggest that they could not obtain a deal on another label. Everything from the arrangements to the booklet artwork and production speaks to professionalism. Horricane perform down-tuned mid-tempo death with a slight industrial feel. The tracks merge smoothly through of use of effective intros and outros, including occasional movie samples. The album closes with an impressive cover (two words rarely uttered by me) of Samael's classic "Rain", maintaining the spirit of the original but blending it well into the Horricane album.
