This vinyl EP consists of two tracks of doom metal in the vein of Sun O))) and Rwake. "One year of Deprivation" starts with some feedback before launching into a tattoo accompanied by a heavy and fuzzy guitar, later joined by incessantly clashing cymbals and near-incoherent growls, interrupted only by a brief melodic intermezzo, before returning to form. "No Man or Deity" is a slower and less intense track that takes a while to find its stride, building up incrementally before finding its pace about two thirds in. Side A is clearly the more aggressive stomper, whilst side B is a broodier, more downbeat number. (Incidentally, I preferred the latter, but the two songs are on a par.) It's a nice teaser, but where's the full-length?

[As an aside, buyers will be entitled to a free digital download, an increasingly common practice by vinyl vendors -- even though LP fanatics are probably the most vehement critics of digital music formats!]
