Lyrically, this album is based on the loose concept of criminals confessing all to their executioner, but it's the combination of catchy riffs, potent sing-along choruses and an even more potent production that elevates this above the pretenders to the throne of heavy metal.

The vocalist does have his limitations, but is aware of them (as he damn well should be after all these years) and never attempts to overreach himself. Quality is maintained throughout the album and not a single tack can be considered as filler, nor is there a single extraneous moment.

Grave Digger have clearly channelled their collective decades of experience into crafting an album that reminds us all why we listen to metal in the first place.
