The second effort from the heavenly voiced Weeping Silence is a massive departure from the dour and overwrought doominess of their debut, _Deprived From Romance_. Out goes the raw and underproduced sound, to be replaced by a much-improved sound that befits the increased ethereal atmosphere and allows the nuances of a more complex and refined entity to shine forth. Guitars are muted, often reduced to cleanly strung arpeggios or ousted altogether in favour of a rich tapestry of synth-generated orchestration, both overshadowed by the singer. The dreaminess is an important component, as this allows them to stand above the usual panoply of angelic voiced metal that lingers in goth purgatory or power metal cul de sacs. Apart from an unfortunate proclivity towards overlong songs, they have birthed an admirable addition to the minute Maltese metal pantheon.
