Sacrilegious Impalement - _Sacrilegious Impalement_
(Enucleation Records / Blasphemous Underground Productions, 2007)

The problematic reviews do not revolve around the good or the bad, but those in-between. Each album is good or bad in its own way, but mediocre albums are the same in all respects, making it difficult to write something that I have not said innumerable times before. This is such an album; Sacrilegious Impalement performs uncomplicated and straightforward Nordic styled black metal. It was an OK listen, better than some, worse than others; but so what? There are too many of this ilk for passable rendition to be sufficient when compared to Ceremonial Castings, Abomino Aetas or Lyrinx, to name but a few that have crossed my path in the past month alone.
