_Desecrated Temple of Impurity_ revels in a muddy production, the result of a deliberate use of few resources rather than the unfortunate lack of insufficient access to proper recording facilities. Such production may have panda-faced fiends drooling at the thought of another true addition to their already substantial collections, but works to Nuclear Desecration's detriment, as it buries the nuances of each song, resulting in an undifferentiated and repetitive morass that trudges from song to song. Melodies are present but, like all other aspects, are deeply embedded within the songs and brought to the surface through the bass lines. Nuclear Desecration are most easily comparable to Black Witchery, who indulge in similar antics and achieved cult success en route. Possessed of even a slightly more lucid production, this album may have contained sufficient merit to warrant at least an introductory listen, but as it is, this is simply another primitively recorded album: hardly a commodity that is in short supply. At least _DToI_ doesn't sound like a Darkthrone clone.
