Seraphim Slaughter are unabashedly lo-fi and possessed of a strong DIY punk ethic, as evidenced by virtually all aspects of this recording -- from the schoolboy doodlings of the cover and inlay (that is, if said schoolboy happened to be Ted Bundy) through to low, practically non-existent production values. Not to mention their preferred lyrical topics of "Fun Songs About... Murder - AIDS - Sex - Rape - Terror - Alcohol - Satan" as proudly proclaimed on the inlay spine. There is also a slight punk edge, albeit in their DIY ethic and musical minimalism, whilst the vocals are snarled legibly, the lyric sheet is needed to provide assistance. Those with an uncritical appreciation of noisy music influenced by virtually the entire spectrum of extreme metal, from galloping thrash rhythms through to Nordic infused iciness, will revel in this cacophonic undertaking. For those less enamoured with loosely performed blaspheming gore, this will simply be another addition to an exponentially increasing pool of sub par aural epistles from the extreme of heart.
