_Antecrux_ sees Vomit Orchestra's further distancing -- or rather a final departure -- from their (black) metal roots, or even their industrial / dark ambient efforts. It shows not creativity or a mental processing of ideas an artist would want to deliver to the audience, but more of a stream-of-consciousness array of sounds devoid of an ultimate harmony or vision. Hence, _Antecrux_ is a waste of time and recording efforts, in the end, unless I don't -get- the album altogether.

Anyways, if whispers, white noise loops, some aimless guitar strumming, some sporadic chiming bells (or samples) and much void in between are your idea of a coherent album, then go for it, by all means. I find it too odd and too -empty-.
