As with his previous album _Rupus Miltai_ and his dark ambient side project Oro! Oro!, mastermind Laurynas Jukonis has a particular penchant for constructing utterly engaging minimalist electronica, which has distilled to perfection, resulting in an entity superior in all respects to his earlier work and his side projects. Jukonis has sought inspiration for this CD from the Baltic pre-Christian religion of Romuva, which is similar to but distinct from both Nordic and Slavic paganism, with many parallels between the three pantheons.

Although not quite as excellent as _Alexandreia_, this is yet another winner from the Lithuanian that deserves a wider listen than it is likely to get -- but then only the terminally deluded believe that life is fair.
