There's been quite a bit of this going round of late; bands fusing the dissonant, off-kilter rhythms of math metal with good, old fashioned brutal grindcore. An interesting idea on paper perhaps, but the trouble is that most of its purveyors aren't any bloody good. Michigan's See You Next Tuesday proves no exception. So technical they'll make your eyes water and brutal enough to derail a speeding train, their intentions may be endearingly self-effacing, what with song titles like "Baby, You Make Me Wish I Had Three Hands". But after five songs of this, there really is only so much pointless caterwauling a man can take.
