The guitar performance is rather bland and nondescript, with the album relying on comparatively full-sounding synth strings to drive it forward. The synth does not overwhelm or drown out the guitar, but the album would be severely compromised if it was missing. The main focus is the soprano voice, which are a joy to behold -- especially on "Return to You", which is essentially an excuse for her to show off her vocal skills. However, as flawless as she may be, she does sound a bit sterile; her vocals lack the warmth of, say, Elis, despite the vast gulf in skill. Her male companion, as is par for the course, is not as talented as she is, but does provide a wonderful, if overdone, contrast. It wouldn't have harmed the album, if greater use had been made of his voice.

Although this approach has been done several times before, they manage to pull it off, providing a pleasing, if not compelling listen.
