I honestly do not know what to think about this release. Although I am developing an increasing love and appreciation for the eclectic and the obscure, this does not automatically translate into a desire for a kitchen sink approach. Pimentola seems keen to explore every possible avenue on _Misantropolis_, including _Paris Spleen_-era Ataraxie-style cabaret, Abruptum-esque screams of despair, dreamy soundscapes, industrial rhythms and Wagnerian bombast! The end result is an increasingly chaotic mess of half-baked and inchoate ideas that if brought to fruition might result in an excellent entrant to experimental electronica; but at the moment, this is simply the audio equivalent of the aftermath of a cyclone.
