Immediately apparent is the horrendous production. I cannot even say that the poor production is a result of lack of funds, as it surely requires an active attempt to obtain such low fi noise. It has allegedly been remastered, which if true, makes one wonder how the original sounded.

If the listener can overlook the lack of production, sole member Vuel exhibits considerable skill in evoking a particularly unique and grim atmosphere located somewhere on the spectrum between pre- _Vilosophie_ Manes and _Filosofem_-era Burzum. This cold mood is enhanced by the detached sound of the vocals and drums, which sound as if they are played alongside the guitars rather than in accordance with it.

This is not a classic that demanded a proper release, but nor can it be said that it didn't deserve to be inflicted on the underground beyond Vuel's inner circle. But again, be warned: the production is horrendous and may even scare away those accustomed to minimalist production.
