Subaudition - _The Scope_

Apparently there is also a project from the UK using the name
Subaudition (and they happen to own the Subaudition.com domain), so
let's clarify things first: this is the Finnish Subaudition.
Describing themselves as "acoustic-based emotional flow", Subaudition
leave no doubt that their music is a tranquil, atmospheric affair.
_The Scope_ is built mostly from acoustic guitar, piano and softly
sung male vocals, with a variety of other elements (e.g. saxophone)
making their way into the music at various points. The band clearly
attaches great value to the less obvious side of music, what remains
beneath the aural surface; the atmospheric elements that are woven
into the music. The result will therefore depend to some extent on how
sensitive to these elements the listener happens to be, which isn't to
say there isn't enough to stand on its own without relying on these
background subtleties. While this is the sort of album I only tend to
find appealing under very specific circumstances, _The Scope_
nevertheless does a good job of providing some interesting, relaxing
music.
