Although Sephiroth's music remains comfortably within the realms of dark ambient, his conventional ambient soundscapes are complemented by the highly effective bursts of tribal drumming, providing a rhythmic background and generally allowing for a more invigorating listen than many of his contemporaries. Without this percussive anchor, the music tends to meander somewhat aimlessly.

Despite the slightly above average rating given above, I would still advocate a purchase. It is entertaining in places and money would not be wasted. However, it suffers severely by comparison to ambient cohorts Desiderii Marginis and Atrium Carceri, who have both released outstanding and far stronger albums in the recent past.
