Why call your album _An Agony in Eight Fits_ when it contains eleven songs (twelve including the intro) is something I may never understand, but I won't complain too much if the band makes up in how they actually perform. The Bloodiest Night of My Life leaves me undecided. I like hardcore and noisecore; this band falls somewhere in between these categories, and their songs aren't bad. There's the mandatory screaming parts, the occasional "emo" parts, some nice hooks and riffs; but none of it seems to really do something for me. Perhaps it's a certain lack of elegance that a band needs to present in such chaotic song structures. Not that I would compare this band to something like The Dillinger Escape Plan or Drowningman, because they don't even come close, but it wouldn't hurt TBNoML to learn a thing or two from them. Another point of critique lies in the occasional pieces of 'laughter' that are supposed to blend in with the song but just annoy the hell out of me. _An Agony in Eight Fits_ shows a band that needs a little more conviction to get their message out. An album full of good intentions, but a mediocre realization. Perhaps next time around?
