CoC : Throneaeon - Neither of Gods : Review

Throneaeon - _Neither of Gods_

This Swedish quartet employs a subtle musical variation on a pretty typical death metal theme. The guitars are gracefully spliced into Throneaeon's savage style. An example of what I mean is clearly showcased on track five, "Seven in Heaven, Seven on Earth", nearly one minute and twenty-two seconds into the song. Naturally, the standard anti-religious subject matter is partly exercised on _Neither of Gods_. The misspelled song printed on the CD insert, "Strenght (sic) of the Flesh" and "As It Has Come to End" would have to be my choices for the most accomplished pieces on this inaugural full length from the band. I have to credit Throneaeon for putting "As It Has Come to End" as the last thing they leave the listener hearing; by far the strongest cut off of _NoG_. Otherwise, there is a lot of room for improvement, but I surely could conceive of Throneaeon tailoring their sound to correspond with a less ordinary death metal approach in the future.
