This hybrid of industrial/electronic and metal is a solo project created in Marc Dumont's home studio in France. Influences range, as far as I can hear, from bands such as Ministry to Fear Factory. Unfortunately, the problem is that it's nowhere nearly as good as either of those. The sampled guitar riffs just don't carry enough power, nor do the vocals, the electronic rhythms or the industrial/electronic samples. The first couple of tracks aren't bad, but the Fear Factory influences then show themselves as coming much more from the _Remanufacture_ remixes than anything else, as the frequent annoying techno interludes and rather pointless electronic beats only make things worse from this point onwards. The last track then apparently attempts to transport the listener to a Brazilian Mardi Gras. I tend to sympathize with one-man projects, but I must judge the music regardless of that; and lacking a dark atmosphere and some real power, _Crushing the Individual_ completely failed to impress me.
