The duo of Maerk Asselin and Martin Maurais (who was on Kataklysm's _Serenity in Fire_ album) have provided a rather unusual four track demo. The lyrics are lowbrow and would make Sarcofago seem classy and sophisticated. Or more accurately, "putative" lyrics, as the provided lyrics were never included on the final mix, as the songs were already too "full" and were left as instrumental numbers. This claim does have merit, as they jam as many riffs and leads as they can into four songs with an average playing time of three minutes. And that's the problem; despite the musicianship on display, the songs feel more like snippets from a jam session rather than well thought out and constructed songs. They are frequently out of time and all the songs feel inchoate -- and not because there are no vocals. A pity, as this demo isn't bad because the participants have limited talents or skills; rather they just couldn't be bothered to use them.
