Neurotoxin - _VSL_
(Prison Shank Records, 2007)
by: Quentin Kalis (5 out of 10)
I've been "treated" to a shameless adoption of German thrash, and now I get to experience a shameless rip of thrash from the other side of the Atlantic that had its heyday several decades ago. Sure, the melodies are catchy, but it has all been done before by better bands -- and sounding like Tom Araya (do I really have to mention which band he fronts?) does not enhance their appeal by a degree measurable on any conventional scale.

When the best part of a CD is the cover (a lovely picture of a skateboard in a pool of blood, despite the horrendous greens that are used), then you know the band is in trouble. C'mon guys, I know you can do better -- take that sound and build around it, rather than sounding like a glorified tribute band.
