Entwine's approach is a lot more rock 'n' roll based, with chunkier, heavier riffs and simple, straightforward songs. They do not rely entirely on keyboards, instead using them as an accompanying, background layer of melody to support the guitars -- check out "Twisted" and "Chameleon Halo". Mika Tauriainen delivers strong, confident vocals that are much more rock and metal than the typical and much dreaded goth whining.

There is just about nothing revolutionary on _Fatal Design_, and at the same time, it's a competent, enjoyable release deserving a spin or two. My personal picks are the darker and somewhat epic "Oblivion" and "Curtained Life"; I suggest you go find your own.
