Therios - _II_
(Hollenden Records, 2001)
by: Adrian Bromley (7.5 out of 10)
This CD almost blew the speakers on my boombox. Imagine the chaos and noise that would result from a car crash in your living room while you were watching TV on the couch. Got that mental picture? Then you know what to expect from Therios on this 40-minute release. The band speeds through brash sonic fits made up of fuzzed-out sonic blasts and violent waves of ear-bleeding mayhem. Think Merzbow toying with a transistor radio. This is some screwed-up shit, yet I can't stop cranking it. Who said noise like this couldn't have some redeeming qualities? You've all been warned.
